I have declined your speedy deletion request for Draft:Gadar 2 (soundtrack). I have asked you previously to read and understand the criteria for speedy deletion. WP:G12 is for deleting an entire article where it is an unambiguous copyright violation. The situation in this draft was that it contained an overly large attributed quote in the reception section. This is obviously a credible claim of fair use. Furthermore, the draft should only be deleted "where there is no non-infringing content on the page worth saving". Autobiographies are discouraged but they are permitted. We have lots of articles from the early days of Wikipedia where article subjects started articles on themselves. Question about images.

How do I upload images that I have personally taken? And what license do I need to give to them.

And how do I use images that someone else has created by used them in an article? e.g. A university website - I want to credit and copyright back to them but use it on the Wikipedia page itself. I have some links if that is helpful.

Hi Aviram7,

Quick update - worked out how to upload and licence my own photos (ones that I created).

Trying to work out how to link to or use others (that third-parties have created / own). Understanding what licensing needs to be put in place for those. I have reached out to the organisations for permission to use the media (images and video) from their publicly facing news articles. Will see what happens. I think this is the right approach.

Just looking through the documentation atm and real-world cases to see if this is how it is done or just copyright back to source.

Hello Sir, I created a new draft "Niranjan BS" a few days ago and submitted it for review. I put sincere efforts in providing all proper references and did not include any unverifiable data. It got revised same day where they removed a few references saying "Wikipedia is not a valid reference" which I did not earlier know. Next day, Citation bot revision was done and the article after that looked like: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Niranjan_BS&diff=prev&oldid=1208342275 . But today I'm shocked to see a user Krithika42 made some revisions. He/she had added birth date and family names. To be honest, I knew of these too but did not add them as I wanted to sincerely adhere to Wikipedia rules which state all the info we provide must be verifiable through formal media. No formal media evidence for these was available, so I did not add them. He/she has changed the chronological order of Notable Works too incorrectly. He/she has added a line "predominantly works in kannada films" which is also incorrect as that is not the artiste's predominant work, also you could see a lot of formatting mistakes. I had made my original draft painstakingly without any such errors, both formatting wise and content wise, so that it gets authorized as an article. He/she has not provided any references too. So this user has done all these incorrect revisions to an otherwise clearly verifiable and correct draft. Will this affect the draft's chances of approval as an article for no mistake of mine?
