You better have a look at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/La Liga 2006/2007 results December 2006. Basically a non footballing wikipedian has nominated the detailed results sections of Serie A and La Liga for deletion. I'm personally totally against them being deleted. One tiny point to note: it's not necessary to link the word "McLaren" to Team McLaren, i.e. [[Team McLaren|McLaren]], because Team McLaren is just a redirect to McLaren anyway, so you can just write [[McLaren]]. I like the way the world goes. I work my ass on an article for months, an IP editor comes (don't ban them and force everyone to make an account so you can control them better, nooooooooooo, they must stay here AND cause all sort of troubles, they have freedom to ruin other people's work!) and disrupt your work, without even bothering to discuss on the talk page. And as a big thank you for trying to stop him (ok I was rude but hell, how many times did he undid our changes? Things like this make me angry...), WOW! A WARNING! Also, because someone else took the time to report this to the correct place, I protected the page from IP protection for a brief period. I've got the guy temporarily blocked, but if he's moving IP addresses it won't have much affect. If he continues to vandalise the relevant pages, I'll request they get IP protected. Just to let you know, I have Whois checked all the offending IPs and templated the user talk pages appropriately. The results are that all the IPs used are registred to Telekom Malaysia Berhad, which means that this person is assessing the internet through them and keeps changing IPs through connecting/disconnecting to the internet. The users edits today reached a new low, the use of racism and libel as well as the determination of this user is of particular concern. The IP addresses of this user have a dedicated abuse report e-mail address and I have decided I might as well prepare an abuse report to send off if necessary to see what the ISP has to say. It is unfortunate that this user has returned again. I have not taken any action with the IP as it is clear that the user has long since abandoned it to use another later. I will re-start the action of quickly blocking new IPs as I see them that that engage in disruptive activity. If the blocks are evaded, all relevant pages can be semi-protected to enforce the blocks. Having noticed your topic on the talk page, I did some investigating into it. Both reasons seem to be correct, having checked through the classification pdf. The grid situation was a mystery, however I managed to establish why. As Hoyle was outside the time limit in all sessions, he was barred from racing. Folger had been inside in both free practice sessions, while Lopez and Dalmau were inside in one of the two sessions. The grid was re-arranged accordingly.

I thought about giving warnings to IP editors a while ago, but the volatile nature of these editor make them essentially useless. I always check the nationality of the IP and they really come from all over the world, and most of them do only a bunch of edits and then disappear. Plus, that's what I would do if I didn't check Wiki's guidelines about sources, because there's nothing wrong to me with those edits as they are very close to what will be the official lineup.

As for the standings after the race: I'm ambivalent about the question. The can be useful to have a snapshot of what the championship looked like after a race, but after all it's a rather accessory information. Another reason of doubt is the number of active contributors of the two projects: in the F1 project there are a hundred active members and many many more casual editors due to the worldwide popularity of the sport; that helps them to maintain all the tables updated and the pages clean.

On the other hand, we can count the active members of the GP project using just two hands and we probably would have fingers to spare. The standings after the race section would add up six other tables to a page that is already crowded, and tables take a while to be made (the average time for me is 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the category and the number of riders, and I'm using a program to make it as automated as possible). And then there's the thing I hate the most, the pages would become bunches of even more names and numbers, while I'd like them to be full of reports and infos like the F1 ones (but I can't do it, I almost always don't have time to watch all 3 races in a day, let alone write a report for them). So for now I'd leave the pages as they are.

The official site can list whatever ever flag it likes, it's not relevant. The Wikipedia has defined that the flag means country. The official site does not do that, it just lists the flag without further comment. We've provided the comment. Our interpretation is wrong. World Superbike merely are attaching a flag for decorative purposes, it's entirely their right to do so, but MOSFLAG prevents us, or at the very least, strongly suggests, we should not place flags decoratively.
