Hello. In a recent edit to the page Mariano Moreno, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. The article Mariano Moreno used both American and British English.

I've counted the instances where each variety was used. British English spellings were used 6 times (labour, afterwards, favourable, honours, antagonised, afterwards). American English spellings were used 10 times (favoring, honor, counselor, channeled, labeled, counselors, neighboring, favor, neighboring, traveled).

As such, the article already leaned towards American English, which is why I changed those 6 British instances in order to standardize the language used throughout the article (an article using spellings from two different English varieties is problematic). If anything, changing it to British English would be a bigger change.

Whenever I edit an article, I always keep in mind the different varieties of English and consider which would be appropriate to use in the article. Even though I personally use American English, I don't have any personal bias towards it. I didn't make this change without considering it first.

If you disagree with the change I've made, you should go ahead and edit the article to exclusively use British English. AndreyKva (talk) 23:37, 7 June 2018 (UTC)

What was wrong with adding the percentage of Muslims in Buryatia? I based it on this sentence:"Islam is followed by immigrant groups like Azeris and Uzbeks, who constitute another 0.7% of the population."

1. The bar chart is based on statistics from the Sreda Arena Atlas survey. The survey shows that less than 0.5% of the population of Buryatia follow Islam.
2. Adding 0.7% to the chart makes it mathematically wrong. If you add up all of the groups on the bar chart, you'll get 100%. If you add in 0.7%, it makes it 100.7%.
3. Not every Azerbaijani or Uzbek in Buryatia is necessarily a Muslim.

Hello AndreyKva, thank you for you recent cleanup of language on various video game article. While the changes are most helpful, I'd like to address two specific recurring problems:

• It seems like you are not following MOS:LQ. Basically, if a quote does not contain a full sentence, it should not end in a comma or full stop. If a comma or full stop is adjacent to such a quote, it is placed outside the quotation marks. Should the quote, however, include full sentences, the full stop is placed within the quotation marks.
• In some cases, you are changing the likes of "in April 2008" to "on April 2008". Note that April only has 30 days, so "April 2008" denotes a month+year combination. In English, you can do something at a time, on a day, and in a month/year, so the "in April 2008" phrasing should remain.

Hi, in this edit on 14 March you introduced {{sfn|McCann|1990|p=75-79}} but did not define the source. This means that nobody can look it up, and also causes the article to be in Category:Harv and Sfn no-target errors. If you could fix this that would be great.
