Genre categories

I've reverted your additions to articles on Public Enemy albums. The category "Public Enemy albums" is already under "Political hip hop albums", so your additions were unnecessary. If there's a similar case wherein an artist's albums all fall under a genre category, consider adding that category to the artist-album category, like I did here. Albums by genre categorization

Hi, instead of categorizing every individual album by an artist by the same genre such as you did by adding Category:Gangsta rap albums to each of the articles on albums by Skull Duggery, all you have to do is add the category to Category:Skull Duggery albums. By default then, each of the albums is categorized as Gangsta rap. This type of subcategorization is encouraged by WP:ALBUMS. --StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 02:52, 30 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Rapmasters: From Tha Priority Vaults, Vol. 1

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Rapmasters: From Tha Priority Vaults, Vol. 1, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.allmusic.com/album/rapmasters-from-tha-priority-vaults-vol-1-mw0000039507.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Rapmasters: From Tha Priority Vaults, Vol. 2, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=ALBTKoXRg38BCQ6TFJbtnG7eMTuF4LQnVJ.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rapmasters: From Tha Priority Vaults, Vol. 4 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from www.artistdirect.com/nad/store/artist/album/0,,151388,00.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.  SmileBlueJay97  talk  02:49, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Born Dead (Project Born EP)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Born Dead (Project Born EP) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Proposed deletion of Thrash Patrol

The article Thrash Patrol has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non notable compilation album - just another album put together to boost sales

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

Speedy deletion nomination of Somethin' For The Whodi's

Hello Alcatrazzrapper,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Somethin' For The Whodi's for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is significant enough to be included in an encyclopedia, and the artist doesn't have an article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Karlhard (talk) 19:01, 16 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Repost of Category:Diss songs

Information icon A tag has been placed on Category:Diss songs requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's discussion directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of recreating the page. Thank you.
