User:ResolutionsPerMinute

Dear fellow Wikipedians,

After several months of weighing the pros and cons, I have to decided to take an indefinite wikibreak. Lately, I have become more ornery and hostile toward other editors, and it has taken me a while to accept the fact that I am doing this because I am unhappy with my life—editing is no longer enough to keep me in high spirits. My many real-life frustrations are spilling over onto Wikipedia, and before my behavior becomes irreversible, I will put a stop to it. It is with sheer regret that I announce my unofficial retirement from Wikipedia.

I may return one day, so do not consider me permanently retired. If all goes well, I may be back in working order before the end of 2025. However, if I have not made another edit by 2 January 2026, I would like an editor to perform the following actions:

  1. Revert my user page to this revision
  2. Add the Retired template to my user page
  3. Archive my talk page

Thanks to everyone who helped support me during my tenure on Wikipedia. I appreciate it, even if I didn't send enough love. Do me a solid and keep the vandals under control. I have done a lot of good work for this site, and I would hate to see it all undone. For now, I've done all I can possibly do, and it's time I turn all attention to writing novels. If the day comes that I do return, it will be when I am a happier person who has accomplished his life dreams. To quote a song I really like, "Sometimes goodbye, though it hurts in your heart, is the only way for destiny." True that. Peace out.

All the best,
Resolutions Per Minute
