Piracanga was established in 2004 as a community based on life in communion with spiritual, social and environmental awareness. It is located 80 meters in front of a beach, 70 meters from the river Piracanga and Just 500 meters from a protected tropical rain forest. <--- location

Location and Transport
Piracanga is located in south Bahia, Brazil on the peninsula of Marau, near the town of Itacaré, south of Salvador and 60 km from Ilheus.
To reach the Piracanga Center you have to cross the river in Itacare (rio de Contas) with the ferry (balsa). Follow the dirt road until you find the sign leading to Piracanga.
There exists also an arranged transfer from the bus station in Itacare or from the Ilhéus Jorge Amado Airport.
