I gave myself a barnstar, I’m kidding, it’s just a normal star :(
Pieter Jelles, a socialist revolutionary and popular historical figure from Frisia. A person who had a great impact on Dutch society and history in general but NatriumGedrogt in particular.

I’m interested in history, economics, sociology, political science, anthropology, religion, social psychology and philosophy. I’m especially concerned with early Soviet history, the far left, historical anthropology, the thought of Friedrich Nietzsche and of Marx, Engels and Lenin.

Apart from English I also speak Dutch, my native language.

Below are lists of articles I’ve created or significantly edited. Constructive criticism and/or spelling and/or grammar corrections are always welcome. If you find an article or edit to be particularly bad please inform me so I can improve it so does not have to be undone.

About myself

I’m interested in history. Some of my favourite subjects are modern and historical social and political trends, . Other subjects I really like are early Soviet and pre-Soviet Bolshevik history and late antiquity. I’m Dutch so the Eighty Years' War, Anglo-Dutch Wars and history of socialist and communist movements in the Netherlands are also subjects I have come into contact with in the past. I’m interested in pretty much everything of importance after the Seven Years' War in any region (in the category military history that is). Apart from military history I also like political history. I primarily do biographical articles. I do not like working on pages on well known people and events.

I’m not only interested in history but also in politics and political science. Especially matters concerning the far left as well as current events and trends. I’ve read the major works of virtually all historically important far-left writers, including Saint Simon, Feuerbach, Marx, Engels, Dietzgen, Stirner, Eccarius, Lafargue, Kautsky, Bernstein, Jaurès, Domela Nieuwenhuis, Plekhanov, Luxemburg, Kropotkin, Martov, Lenin, Malatesta, Tomsky, Trotsky, Bordiga, Pannekoek, Mao, Rocker, Hoxha and Bookchin. I’m planning on joining WikiProject Socialism, once I’ve read some more secondary literature, and invite you to do so as well if you’re also interested in socialism. All help, well, helps, (obviously) but especially when concerning such controversial topics many editors are needed, if you want to make a significant contribution to Wikipedia and are able to handle impartially matters regarding this topic then this is a never ending well of opportunities to make significant improvements to the Encyclopedia.

I’m also interested in social epistemology, geography, philosophy, religion (especially Christianity) and social psychology but currently lack expertise on these subjects. Any suggestions as to what are good books etc. on those subjects would be appreciated, feel welcome to post them on my talk page.
