Maldezir is a Wikipedian dedicated to improving general articles about the Middle Ages and Early Modern Period. Dedicated to the decolonization of Medieval Studies and provincializing the history of Europe ^[1] , Maldezir is focused on filling lacunae around the Iberian Peninsula on Wikipedia. This Wikipedian takes their name from the 13th century Cantigas de escárnio e maldezir ^[2], a collection of songs of vituperation and scorn. Why? Because Medieval people's lived experiences are too often flattened by historiography and Maldezir seeks to pique interest in under-studied literature.
