Graduate student in linguistics. Research focuses on psycholinguists & neurolinguistics, semantics, and syntax.

I like #lingwiki edit-a-thons.

My Wiki history

When I was an undergrad, I used to find it really challenging to explain linguistics to to non-linguists, partially because of so many prevalent misconceptions about what linguists do among the general public, partially because I was worried that my own explanation would only lead to more confusion. This is one of my initial motivations to join the WikiProject Linguistics – to bridge the gap between linguists and the general public. I got involved in the #lingwiki campaign organised by Gretchenmcc, and participated in a couple of online #lingwiki events. I am also advocating for #lingwiki on my personal website, with the hope that more graduate students can contribute to this meaning cause.
