Hi! My name is JB Hoang Tam and I am originally from Hanoi, Vietnam. At a young age, my family migrated to the United Kingdom, settling in Liverpool. Thus, I am a British-Vietnamese citizen. I graduated in 2009 with degrees on philosophy and literature, but ended up becoming a freelance journalist and lecturer in literary conferences. I have been following the Nobel Prize in Literature since 2017 when it was won surprisingly by Kazuo Ishiguro and which sparked my interest surrounding the secret deliberations of the Nobel Committees, hence, the obvious interest in the prizes.

I have been traveling to different countries interviewing debut authors and well celebrated ones. The following countries were the places I've been to:

Continent Country
Europe  Denmark,  France,  Germany,  Ireland,  Italy,  Norway,  Poland,  Spain,   Switzerland and  Sweden
Africa  Egypt,  Kenya,  Nigeria,  Cote d'Ivoire, and  South Africa
North America  Canada,  Haiti,  Jamaica,  Mexico,  United States
South America  Brazil and  Colombia
Oceania  Australia and  Fiji
Asia  India,  Israel,  Japan,  Philippines,  Saudi Arabia,  Singapore,  Thailand, and  Vietnam (my home country)
