User:Inge-Lyubov

Greetings all!

I live in North Texas, as have most of my forefathers for the past one hundred years or so. I was born in Dallas, but moved to Flower Mound several years ago.

I generally make minor edits and nitpick wherever I find problems, but right now I am focusing on translating articles from German and working with the missing encylopedic articles project. I can also be found doing a lot of work with interlanguage links. My great loves are foreign languages, grammar, poetry, history, and religion.

I am almost fluent in German, and do some translating from the German Wikipedia. My reading level is higher than my writing ability, so I don't do much translating in the other direction.

I award this Barnstar to Inge-Lyobov for great efforts in translating articles to English. Adammathias

Patrona Bavariae (English: Patroness of Bavaria) is a title of the Virgin Mary as the patron saint of Bavaria.

Early Marian Devotion in Bavaria== The earliest described Marian church in Bavaria is a predicessor of the Freising Cathedral. This was already existant in 724, when Saint Corbinian came to Freising. It is consecrated to the Frestival of the Birth of the Virgin Mary on 8 September. This church became the cathedral church of the Bishopric of Bavaria that was established in 739. The devotion to Mary in Bavaria led in the Middle Ages to many churches and pilgrimage sites being dedicated to her there, e.g. Ettal, Maria Thalheim (now in Fraunberg), and Altötting.
