Conflict of interest statement

I am an employee in the University of Waterloo’s Special Collections & Archives (SCA) department. Any edits I make to pages related to the people, events or organizations reflected in the SCA’s holdings or the University of Waterloo itself will be neutral in tone, verifiable, and beneficial to the goals of Wikipedia. These edits may include text revisions or content development; the addition or expansion of references and inline citations; and edits or link additions to related resources, including pertinent finding aids or collection overviews, that improve access to primary resources. I will review and modify my editing behaviour in response to any feedback indicating that I have contributed in a manner that contradicts Wikipedia’s conflict of interest guidelines. Please feel free to contact me via my talk page with any concerns.

McMaster Visiting Scholar

Between September 2015 and December 2016 I acted as McMaster University's Wikipedia Visiting Scholar. Part of the work I undertook included creating and improving pages about underrepresented people and events. As much as possible, my edits were influenced by McMaster's archival and special collections holdings. Specifically, working to develop (neutral, well-rounded, multi-sourced) pages about topics or people for which McMaster has corresponding research collections or fonds.
