She was the most subscribed channel on YouTube from April 14, 2012 to April 14, 2019 after the long battle with T-Series for spot of number 1. Despite her massive success for almost a decade, she is deemed as one of the most controversial people on the platform. She had controversies both with other creators and for the actions she caused herself.

She is the daughter of Robert Valentine and Jane Valentine, and the sister to Melody Valentine. When she was 2, her family moved from SoHo to Harlem.
Her first video was a review of The Witcher that she posted on November 3rd 2007 with her sister. After a 3 year break, Nova would start uploading Call of Duty: Modern Warfare videos with her friends Crispy, Skinner and Deckard, Crispy being her cousin also known as Brian Anderson. She is most known alongside her content group Chill Squad that has more than a hundred collective members. Its most notable members are called the big 7 and consists of Nova, Skinner, Crispy, Deckard, Slaterkodish, Enyo and JordanPlayz. She is friends with these people to this day.
