Carlsefni studied Folklore & Mythology (Special Field: Medieval Scandinavia) at Harvard College and has a Ph.D. from the Faculty of English (Dept. of Anglo-Saxon, Norse, & Celtic) at the University of Cambridge. He has worked as a technical writer/editor in the high tech industry, and is currently a university professor in a department of foreign languages and culture in Colombia, South America.
