The Tobabe Formation is a geologic formation in Panama. The conglomerates and sandstones preserve fossils dating back to the Messinian period.[1]

The formation has provided the following fossils:

  • Hepatus biformis[2]
  • Iliacantha panamanica[3]
  • Leucosilia bananensis[4]
  • Portunus gabbi[5]
  • Raninoides cf. benedicti[6]
  • Thoe asperoides[7]
  • ?Balaenopteroidea indet.[8]
