Would it be useful to list the Byzantine Empire here too? That would cover a lot of the east, and stretches from one end of the Middle Ages to the other. Adam Bishop 17:33, 25 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Very good idea. - SimonP 22:08, Sep 25, 2004 (UTC)

Another thought...should we add Crusader states too? They don't last very long and many of them aren't technically in Europe, but they were medieval European countries just like the rest of the ones currently listed. Adam Bishop 7 July 2005 03:59 (UTC)

Merge

Why merge these? The ideal and the standard is the long template in the upper right of the article. This doesn't work for many articles as they are already part of another series. (e.g. Medieval Britain is already part of the British histroy series). Thus a template at the bottom is sometimes required. - SimonP 22:18, 27 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion closed as no consensus for merge, after more than three years. Debresser (talk) 14:37, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Added Crusading movement under WP:BOLD. This young article covers the ideology and instituitions. Norfolkbigfish (talk) 07:36, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This got reverted without discussion, I have restored in the absence of any rationale. Norfolkbigfish (talk) 08:21, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
