Vadtal is not a major holy city. So removed.--Redtigerxyz (talk) 05:56, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

same applies to Virpur.--Redtigerxyz (talk) 11:08, 23 August 2008 (UTC) same applies to[reply]

I am not sure about Kollur and Mayapur; but regarding Swamithope,
"Take a look into the citations 4,5,6,7 of this article. The Car festival here attracts crowd from two states. Another festival in Swamithope (Ayya Vaikunda Avataram) was celebrated with a holiday for three districts. Is there any other Temple festival which is celebrated with holiday(other than local holiday)? - 117.97.139.0 (talk) 21:19, 4 July 2008 (UTC)" [reply]
The above is taken from Template talk:Famous Vishnu temples. I feel it must be added. - White Dot...!!!® 14:57, 7 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
But it of the Ayyavazhi religion, not of mainstream Hinduism, so need not be mentioned here.--Redtigerxyz (talk) 05:05, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
There may be views that Ayyavazhi is a religion. But see the intro of Ayyavazhi article. There are creadible sources that Ayyavazhi is viewed a Hindu sect and so, I feel, swamithope must be added amongst that of Hindu. - White Dot...!!!® 16:58, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Every other city or town or village in India has a "famous" holy shrine, or thus is a holy city. Thus every such city can not be named here. Only major ones should be included here.--Redtigerxyz (talk) 04:06, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The link goes to a disambiguation page, and none of the articles linked from there appear relevant to the topic of the template. What Wikipedia article describes this Hindu holy city? --R'n'B (call me Russ) 14:11, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, it looks like it was an erroneous edit. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 14:16, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Vaikom, not pan-Indian importance. Highly regional importance, if any significant importance. --Redtigerxyz Talk 04:56, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
