Purpose
What is the purpose/definition of this stub? Is it for aircraft built in the 1980s? Aircraft initially released in the 1980s? This was added to Cozy MK IV, a homebuilt aircraft that's being built today, for example. - CHAIRBOY (☎) 05:58, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Good question. I don't think that was ever specified: see Category talk:Aircraft stubs for the original discussion of this, and Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals/Archive17 for a completely different proposal for how to split these up. (This actual template was created by me, but only to deal with the coding issues of the original {{aero-year-stub}}.) Alai 17:56, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
