This article is based on material taken from the Free On-line Dictionary of Computing prior to 1 November 2008 and incorporated under the "relicensing" terms of the GFDL, version 1.3 or later.

Since Wikipedia switched to dual licensing on June 16, 2009, content from FOLDOC added after 1 November 2008 is no longer validly licensed for use on Wikipedia under the terms of the GFDL and must be treated as being non-free use. This template may be used to attribute content:
- Imported into Wikipedia from FOLDOC before November 2008. Such material is covered by Wikipedia's licensing change to GFDL 1.3, which contained wording permitting for dual licensing to CC-BY-SA.
- Currently hosted at FOLDOC as a normal attribution template, optionally including an article name.

This template may be placed in the "References" or "External links" section. The template may also be used as a footnote reference within a <ref></ref> block.
