Three cheers for the snail and the grad student who found it (not to mention the contributors of this article)! As for the article, it is new enough, long enough, and adequately supported by reference citations. The image license is OK, and the article does not have copyvio issues. As noted, it does incorporate some text from two sources that are free of copyright issues; I did a bit of rewording to make some of that text flow a bit more smoothly in the context of the Wikipedia article. As for the hooks, ALT3 checks out as fine. ALTs 1 and 2 don't work for me because the last collection/observation was actually about 78 years before the rediscovery. We might beef up ALT3 a bit, though:
- ALT3b ... that the oblong rocksnail (pictured), which is endemic to the Cahaba River and was last collected in 1933 and declared extinct in 2000, was rediscovered in 2011?
