John Sanford (c. 1605-1653, who was governor of the combined towns of Portsmouth and Newport in the Rhode Island colony, was also a prominent passenger traveling with the Winthrop fleet. He had been an employee of the Winthrop household, caring for Magistrate Winthrop’s wife and oldest son. Cleanup

The whole page needs to be cleaned up a bit. I think the table could be reworked to include the notes. Also, the quote at the top needs to be formatted differently. Wechselstrom 16:22, 21 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
