Talk:Tony Saunders (bassist)

Beginning rewrite

I've begun adding citations and sections to this article. I'm sure when I have the time I'll be able to find some better sources. The subject is certainly notable just based on his Cds and Emmy awards, and he is relaunching one of his father's bands, the Rainforest Band, in July. Editing needed

I'm a huge fan of Merl Saunders' work with Jerry Garcia, and was excited to learn more about descendants after a recent episode of the Good Old Grateful Deadcast. Tony is clearly very accomplished in his own right, but I wonder if some editing isn't needed here. (Clearly I'm not volunteering to do it myself.) The bio provided is extremely granular, and looks like it might be longer than Merl's! In addition, it seems to end with an explicit endorsement of how great Tony's latest album is, up to and including a link to the Spotify page. This could come out for starters, and maybe somebody else with more experience (or the time/interest) can take a look at the rest. Microfamous (talk) 22:35, 27 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Potentially Needed in Early Life & Education

I'm seeing a potential grammatical error, however due to my ignorance of this artist, and there not being a source linked, I'm not sure how this should read. The section is as follows:

"While growing up there were always great musicians around his father and his cousin Eddie Moore, Jimmy Smith, Stanley Turrentine, Sonny Rollins, Dewey Redmen, George Duke, Al Jarreau, Bole Sete, John Handy were all there for Saunders to Listen to."

Is his Cousin Eddie Moore? Is Moore a musician? Tweegus (talk) 04:27, 6 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
