Talk:Southtown Center/GA2

GA Reassessment

I am delisting this as a GA for multiple reasons:

  1. The only photograph is of a nearby theater, not of the center itself. As the center is still standing, there should be little difficulty in getting a picture of what's there now.
  2. Most of the history is woefully incomplete. What stores were there originally? I found reference to a Kresge dime store and National supermarket in old articles, but neither is mentioned. Nor is the fact that the Kresge was turned into an enclosed mall at one point. It just skips straight from opening to the addition of Herberger's.
  3. The sources are very thin, including multiple to the developer's website, a user-submitted cinema database, and a bare url to a dead article

When compared to something like Colonial Plaza or Swifton Center which are both of similar vintage, and this doesn't seem to come close to the mark. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 22:06, 12 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
