Talk:Quora

Ethical comparison to Wikipedia

Couple of things - the site seems to be hugely popular amongst Indian users, which might be worth mentioning.

The second is: a criticism section is sorely needed.

Essentially the site requires user info for access, i.e. you need to be logged-in to access further answers after an initial visit.

This is in marked contrast to Wikipedia, and - given that Wikipedia preceded Quora by at least 9 years - is worth covering, as the founders were clearly aware of Wikipedia, but deliberately chose this trade-your-details-for-access method.
