Re: the statement: The sets ${\displaystyle U_{B}=\{x\in V:\quad \|\varphi \|_{B}<1\},\qquad B\in {\mathcal {B}},}$ form a local base of this topology. Problem is, ${\displaystyle {\mathcal {B}}}$ is not defined in the text.
