Talk:Nafl prayer

Why is raka’atanil fajr not included? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 197.252.209.224 (talk) 10:49, 13 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Lack of sourcing

I recently noticed that the majority of this article was completely lacking in actual references; the title of a hadith collection without the actual hadith number really isn't a reference, as it doesn't allow readers to look up and confirm the information for themselves. In addition, in places where information was referenced it usually was the reference just copy-pasted right out of hadith collections.
I removed the unsourced material. This is not because i'm disputing it, I know about most of it already; however, until we can get some proper sourcing on these extra prayers we shouldn't just leave it there. It's been far too long as I remember checking this article a long time ago and still seeing nothing, hopefully myself (and others willing to help, hint hint) can collect proper sources for the other nafilah prayers. Neutrality

The entire first section is discussed too much as though it is a known fact. There are different schools of thought with differing opinions on the subject and that should be reflected in this article. I don't have the necessary background knowledge about this; I've just been doing a half hour of Googling on it. However, because there are differing views about time, length, and importance (it's not mandatory, that's well established, but how good is it?), those should be explained and not swept under the rug as unimportant or incorrect. Within the explanations of the different views, if that sentiment is present, I would have no objection, but as it stands, the article reads almost like an end-all-be-all. Salat Al-Shefe'e oo Wet'r

I'm not sure how it's spelt in english exactly, but why hasn't this obligatory prayer been mentioned as well? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.209.19.224 (talk) 22:51, 12 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
  1. There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
  2. It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
  3. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 15:05, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ishraq prayer

The “Ishraq prayer” section contradicts itself concerning number of raka’ahs. Philosophy2 (talk) 16:08, 21 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
