Contradictions in the article

This article is very subpar.

Now, it appears to be solely because of the bizarre way that the article is worded, but a religion cannot be both monotheistic, and yet believe in baals as deities. That would be contradictory.

My guess is that whoever wrote this article forgot to (or, alternatively, didn't want to) clarify exactly what Palauan practitioners see the pagan baals of old time belief as. If they do view them as deities, then the religion is not monotheistic. If they see them as something else, then the article ought to reflect that.
