Proposed merge of Universities and colleges of West Bengal into List of institutions of higher education in West Bengal

To merge List of institutions of higher education in West Bengal and Universities and colleges of West Bengal into a new joint title, Higher education in West Bengal, to avoid overlap and to reflect the slightly wider scope of higher education. Klbrain (talk) 12:24, 15 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

"List of institutions" touches all the entries that are currently in "Universities and colleges" articles. Except that both articles have varying degrees of completion on one subtopic or the other. I agree that consolidation is warranted, but think that it should be to Universities and colleges of West Bengal, as that is broader than the idea of 'list', including, for example, a prose description of the history of these institutions. However, I accept that 'higher education' is a broader topic, and so perhaps the merged aricle should have a new title, such as Higher education in West Bengal. This would mirror the title of similar articles like Higher education in the United States or Higher education in India. Klbrain (talk) 15:22, 13 November 2023‎ (UTC)
