It looks like we need to discuss which spelling of the word "centre" is to be used. A recent editor, in a good-faith move, revised the article to spell the word as "center" and even created a duplicate article under the name Legoland Discovery Center, which initially was set up as a redirect to this article. The editor, in his edit summary, noted that the website for the company does use the "-er" spelling, but most every other use on the page uses "-re". Further, it would seem that the only use for the "-er" spelling is for the names of the American locations, since "-er" is the preferred American spelling. I know there have been a number of questionable edit conflicts regarding British vs. American English, so I would request that we hash this out first before making a final decision ... and when that decision is made, the article should be moved instead of duplicated. (edit conflict) 'Centre' is the correct spelling, as per the LDC website, logo, and all descriptions by Merlin Entertainments. (note: it would appear that both www.legolanddiscoverycentre.com and www.legolanddiscoverycenter.com are active and point to the same destination, so URL alone cannot be used to decide this). Being a British/European brand, they're using the British/European spelling, and per WP:ENGVAR we should follow suite. _TalkIslander 18:39, 24 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

LEGO to buy LEGOLAND theme park operator Merlin Entertainments in $7.6 billion deal The parent company of The LEGO Group, Kirkbi A/S, has reached a deal to purchase Merlin Entertainments for 6 billion pounds, or more than 7.6 billion USD. Merlin Entertainments operates eight LEGOLAND theme parks from California to Dubai, dozens of LEGOLAND Discovery Centers, as well as other famous attractions such as Madam Toussad’s and the London Eye, all of which will now come under control of LEGO owner Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, the grandson of LEGO’s founder.
