I removed the copy and paste press release statements, it's a violation of WP:ADVERT policy, keep in mind wikipedia is not meant to promote products. Wateryman (talk) 12:35, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There's a user that needs to be reminded of this. Also, on the subject of press release statements on Wikipedia, what is supposed to be done is either quote portions of them in a fair use way or sum up what they say, instead of just copying and pasting huge chunks of the press release statement. Ian.thomson (talk) 02:22, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removed text from 2011 section which was cut and paste from press release. Besides WP:ADVERT violation it was plaigarism - unquoted and unattributed. Sbs9 (talk) 18:47, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Changes to the information on the 2010 Infiniti G37

I went ahead and did an edit to the information on the 2010 Infiniti G37, since I felt the information that was there before my edit was inaccurate. For what it's worth, I am an owner of a 2009 Infiniti G37x Coupe that follows automobile magazines, autonews blogs and Infiniti G37 fan forums. In addition, the photo that was marked as a 2010 Infiniti G37 Coupe is really the 2009 Infiniti G37 Art Project Vehicle, as mentioned elsewhere in the article. Please see this URL: http://www.gotbroken.com/2009-infiniti-g37-anniversary-art-project-vehicle That is plainly the same car. Please also note this URL: http://www.automobilesreview.com/auto-news/infiniti-g37-anniversary-art-project-vehicle/18428/ I include it since the article was written on Sept. 30th, 2009. Obviously the car can't be a 2010 if it was completed on or before Sept. 30th 2009. 69.76.14.139 (talk) 13:05, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Size classification?

There seems to be a minor edit war going on regarding the size classification, with one editor posting/reposting it as midsize, and another as compact.

The US EPA in fact classifies it as subcompact.

I haven't dug too hard, but wondering if there has been previous discussion on WP about using one of the various government standards for size instead of personal opinion or advertising copy? Sbs9 (talk) 19:01, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

EPA classifies the sedan as mid-size, whereas the coupe is subcompact. --98.175.26.58 (talk) 17:43, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

2014/2015 G37

Can someone please update the info on the G37 and the Infiniti timeline on the bottom? The Q50 isn't really replacing it - they will be sold alongside each other for 2014 and 2015 model years. The Q37 will be the entry level, the Q50 is a step up. See http://www.edmunds.com/car-news/2014-infiniti-g37-sedan-gets-4800-price-cut.html for more info.

The Q50 is also slightly longer (188.3" vs. 187.9")and wider (71.8" vs. 69.8") and has more interior room (113.9 cubic feet vs. 99.0) according to cars.com. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.191.175.204 (talk) 22:37, 26 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely NO CVT for Infinti G35 (V35 model)

CVT version is DOMESTIC Nissan Skyline sedan only. For export version under Infiniti, there is ABSOLUTELY no CVT version !!! Export version of V35 is either 5AT or 6MT. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Buhin (talkcontribs) 10:28, 7 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Renaming

It makes absolutely no sense to have all of the Infiniti G cars under the Q40 title. Not only has the Q40 name only been used for a very short time, but the original name carries more weight when naming an article. I would, however, support creating a new page at Q40, with a section on the single model year (2015) of the V36 Q40 and then on the presumable V37 version which will arrive before soon. But it ought to wait until such a time that the second gen Q40 actually arrives. In any case, having the P11 and V35 G-series cars on a page entitled "Infiniti Q40" goes against all logic.
