I don't think this article is a stub -what else can be written? Gerald Bostock is a fictional character whose story is featured on a fictional newspaper that is actually the cover art of a concept album. Any further info needed can be found in the article for the album. So I suggest we remove the stub thing Ozkaplan 08:16, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My friends and I were big fans of this album back in the '70s, and I can remember that it was generally assumed that the four-letter mystery word mentioned in this article was simply 'gear'--gentle British (and Atlantic Canadian) slang for genitalia, especially that of men and boys. The whole satirical joke was interpreted as a send-up of just how old-fashioned, petty and conservative the British establishment could be over a child using such a slightly foul term.142.162.65.109 17:29, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There are two underscores. The cover art newspaper ends with "Many of the viewers' complaints were centred around "Little Milton's" use of a four letter (Continued on Page 4, Col.6)". I say obviously it's not "gutter". The lyric don't contain anything that fits (closest would be "geared").
