Talk:Frank Card Bourne

Retirement

I was told, by one of his students, that Frank Bourne stopped teaching in *1975*, which would mean either that the Times has a misprint or his formal retirement was delayed. It may be worth confirming this, especially if his resistance to coeducation can be attributed to a reliable source. In his classes, the Honor Code continued to read: "I pledge my honor as a gentleman...." even after the University changed it - I presume in 1969. History of Rome

It might be worth finding this, if only to quote his bizarre eulogy on Sulla. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 20:48, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
