Error in maps

Judging is incorrect items or items or maps Fergana. In Ferghana http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandria_Eschate appears north of Bactria. But http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fergana_Valley map is elsewhere. These indications are erroneous and misleading. --84.125.76.223 (talk) 10:41, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Fergana Valley. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

  • Attempted to fix sourcing for http://geocities.com/internetgeology/L34.html

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).

Main Image Issue

The main image for this article shows a view from the pass looking away from the Fergana valley, north towards the Angren Valley. I would recommend moving this picture further down in the article (with a new accurate caption) and putting a different image showing the landscape of Fergana valley at the top. I do not know how to work with images on Wikipedia, I hope someone who does will fix this. Thank you. 67.169.243.110 (talk) 18:51, 4 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Dubious

The article currently says, "People in the Tajikistan city of Khujand traveling to the Tajik capital of Dushanbe, unable to take the more direct route through Uzbekistan, have to cross a high mountain pass between the two cities instead, along a terrible road." But this makes no sense. The shortest route between Khujand and Dushanbe through Uzbekistan is more than twice as long in distance, and more than twice as much travel time, as the road within Tajikistan. How is it "more direct"? 67.166.87.245 (talk) 05:43, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
