5x expanded by Nvvchar (talk). Self-nominated at 07:21, 24 January 2023 (UTC).[reply]

  • Article has been expanded at least five times (actually 6.6×), is long enough, and neutral (a modest copy edit by myself got rid of a tagged peacock phrase). QPQ complete. The hook isn't very interesting on its own. I feel like it should specifically mention Ali being a military commander against the British Raj and the stone inscription in his honor. • Thanks for your copy edits and the review, I am suggesting the following Hook which has 185 counts.
      • ALT1: ... that Budikote is known as the place of birth of Hyder Ali, a Muslim ruler of Mysore Kingdom and military commander who fought in two Anglo-Mysore Wars in the mid-18th century?Nvvchar. 11:47, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
        • @Nvvchar: ALT1 is better (slightly modified it for grammar). It might be more interesting if it mentioned the memorial stone in his honor. DigitalIceAge (talk) 00:16, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
          • Thanks. Here is the alternative hook ALT2 ... that historically, Budikote village has a plaque in its fort which records that Hyder Ali, a Muslim ruler of Mysore Kingdom was born there in 1720 AD?
