Talk:Broadband Global Area Network

not great

There is also (April 2014) the Iridium GO! terminal, that gives WiFi access to a LEO constellation from laptops, iPhones etc. Data rates are low, but the terminal is about 4 inches long, and costs $850 according to the Iridium website. 216.7.151.245 (talk) 14:44, 15 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm surprised that this article, on a hot tech issue, is pretty badly written -- non-encyclopedic, and a bit like an ad.

An orbital map would be nice

A diagram of the communication link would be good

A photo of the device would be useful

BGAN not allowed at sea?

From the article: "BGAN terminals are not allowed to be used on the open ocean on a moving vessel". Can I ask why not? this would be useful information.--mgaved (talk) 15:26, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
