the number of bidus is estimated to be 140,000 in Kuwait, approximately 50% of them were in Kuwait during the first census in 1965 and thus qualify for citizenship according the Kuwaiti authorities. However, apart from granting citizenship to few thousands people, the majority of bidun living in Kuwait is still denied basic rights, such as the right to travel or have an I.D or driving licenses. –saleh82.148.97.69 11:38, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
