Hello Denis.arnaud (talk·contribs), thanks for this important info that IATA code page is only for airports, not heliports. Is there any valid independent source so as to check IATA codes when heliports? Thanks --Bouzinac (talk) 11:54, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
IATA codes may be assigned to almost any transport-/related-POR (point of reference), for instance airports, heliports, (maritime/ferry) ports, (railway and bus) stations, as well as the corresponding populated areas (so-called metropolitan areas in IATA parlance). However, for some reason I do not understand, on their public page (https://www.iata.org/publications/Pages/code-search.aspx), only the codes assigned to airports are shown; the other codes seem not to be assigned. -- Denis.arnaud (talk) 12:09, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
