This sentence in the article: "Khan is also the second cousin of six-time MLA, former BJP vice president and current Governor of Manipur Najma Heptulla, who is the grand-niece of Abul Kalam Azad.[26]"

What is "MLA"? I have no context as to what it could be, it's not referenced anywhere before this. (MLA might mean something common in Indian English, but it's not my English dialect and again, I have no context as to what "MLA" could be.)

Should "BJP" include a link to what it is? I think it's a political party or movement.

Thanks for updating so quickly! Learn something new every day; MLA, "Member of Legislative Assembly", never have come across that term for a Member of Parliament! Someone added facts about his media persona as "Mr Perfectionist" and his preferred film roles to the first few sentences.
