Will return and use them to update the article when I have more time. Format (talk) 18:50, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The pilot of the other balloon was convicted in 1992 for "committing a dangerous act". But the article says he would appeal, and I can't find the outcome of the appeal. http://www.balloonflight.com.au/balloon-flight-articles/1992/12/3/balloon-disaster-pilot-jailed/ Adpete (talk) 23:36, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Time of accident
Conflicting references say 7.38 am in Sydney and 6.38 am. It does not make sense as I thought there was only a 30 minute difference between Eastern and Central time zones. Format (talk) 09:04, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You are correct, and I'm old enough to know it was a 30 minute difference in 1989 too. Not sure how to resolve it. Adpete (talk) 11:26, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
On further reflection: if the only source contradicting 6.38 is the "7.38 am Sydney time" in the SMH [1], probably the most likely explanation is a sub at the SMH made a mistake converting the time, so I vote 6.38. Adpete (talk) 11:41, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
