Shumanay District (Uzbek: Shumanay tumani, Karakalpak: Shomanay rayonı) is a district of Karakalpakstan in Uzbekistan. The capital lies at the city Shumanay.[1] Its area is 780 km2 (300 sq mi)[2] and it had 57,000 inhabitants in 2022.[3]

There is one city (Shumanay) and seven rural communities (Birleshiq, Begjap, Diyqanabat, Ketenlar, Mamiy, Aqjap, Sarmanbaykoʻl).[1]
