Seh Hezar Rural District (Persian: دهستان سه هزار)[3] is in Kuhestan District of Tonekabon County, Mazandaran province, Iran.[4] Its capital is the village of Yuj.[5]

At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of Khorramabad District) was 988 in 287 households.[6] There were 2,030 inhabitants in 681 households at the following census of 2011.[7] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 1,308 in 488 households. The most populous of its 45 villages was Darjan, with 159 people.[2]

In 2019, Do Hezar Rural District and Seh Hezar Rural District were separated from the district in the establishment of Kuhestan District, which was divided into three rural districts, including the new Miyandaman Rural District.[4]
