Pyar Ke Saat Vachan Dharampatnii - Dharampatnii (transl. Seven Vows of Love: Wife) is an Indian Hindi-language drama television series that aired from 28 November 2022 on Colors TV and is digitally available on JioCinema. Produced by Ekta Kapoor under Balaji Telefilms, it stars Fahmaan Khan and Kritika Singh Yadav.[1][2]

Synopsis

Pratiksha lives in a small village with her parents and two sisters, Kinjal and Parul, and is a school teacher. Pratiksha's parents die in an accident which leads to her and her sisters coming to Chandigarh with their uncle and aunt. Pratiksha's aunt Hansa cleverly arranges Pratiksha's marriage with Malhar who aspires to be a cop.

On the other hand, Ravi is very happy with his fiancee Keerti and they are about to get married. Keerti's younger sister Kavya is in love with Ravi and tries to make advances at him but he rejects her due to his love for Keerti. Keerti is a social worker and Thakur's goons want to kill her. Keerti Ravi and Malhar Pratiksha's wedding function takes place at the same venue and there Thakur's goons attack Keerti and Malhar accidentally runs Keerti over but runs away in fear of being caught. Pratiksha is accused of murdering Keerti and is arrested. Nevertheless she was bailed out by her uncle. Ravi who believes Pratiksha to be the murderer believes she doesn't deserve to be happy so wants to take revenge against her however Malhar reminds Ravi that he has to be close to Pratiksha in order as to take revenge on her, So Ravi decides to marry Pratiksha, even though his wedding had been set with Kavya who was waiting at the mandap. Ravi's family don't accept Pratiksha as their daughter-in-law. Kavya threatens to commit suicide if Ravi doesn't marry her which he eventually does. However Pratiksha doesn't accept their marriage. Kavya and Ravi's honeymoon gets sabotaged by. Ravi soon finds out that he's slowly developing feelings for Pratiksha and accidentally tells her. The Randhawa's fixes Ravi and Kavya's marriage, Pratiksha decides to fight for her rights and unable to stop the marriage. Pratiksha brings some women from NGO and makes and Ravi and his mother Mandeep to accept her. She vows to oust Kavya who is supported by Mandeep. Ravi starts to develop feelings for Pratiksha and gets infatuated to her.

Casting

Fahmaan Khan was cast to portray the lead, Ravi.[3][4] While, Kritika Singh Yadav was cast to portray the lead, Pratiksha.[5][6]

Akash Jagga and Gurpreet Bedi were cast as the parallel leads Malhar and Keerti respectively.[7][8]
