Bhalawani is famous for Shri Nageshwar temple where pilgrims visit specially during Mahashivratri & Shravan month.

Parner taluka has a population of 274,167 according to the 2011 census. Parner had a literacy rate of 75.64% and a sex ratio of 955 females per 1000 males. The entire population was rural. Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes make up 6.97% and 6.22% of the population respectively.[5]
