Mikhail Ivanovich Kanashev (Russian: Михаил Иванович Канашев; 4 September 1866, Orenburg Governorate — after 1917) was a wachtmeister of the Imperial Russian Army, a head of a village (stanytsia otaman) and a deputy of the Fourth Imperial Duma from the Orenburg Governorate between 1912 and 1917. He adjoined the Progressive Party, but than became an independent deputy. December 3, 1913 he was a member of a group of 39 parliamentarians who signed the Duma legislative proposal "On the establishment of a special spiritual administration (muftiate) for the Muslims of the North Caucasus."
