Khoshab County (Persian: شهرستان خوشاب) is in Razavi Khorasan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Soltanabad.[3]

After the 2006 National Census, Khoshab District was separated from Sabzevar County in the establishment of Khoshab County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Soltanabad as its capital and only city at the time.[3]

The census in 2011 counted 37,914 people in 10,989 households.[4] At the 2016 census, the county's population was 37,181 in 11,883 households.[2]

Administrative divisions

The population history and structural changes of Khoshab County's administrative divisions over two consecutive censuses are shown in the following table. The latest census shows two districts, five rural districts, and one city.[2]

After the 2016 census, Now Deh-e Anqolab District was established, with the newly formed Now Deh-e Anqolab Rural District and Tabas Rural District as its subdivisions.[5] The district's capital, Now Deh-e Arbab, was elevated from village status to that of a city,[6] as was the village of Meshkan in Meshkan District.[7]
