The Journal of Political Ideologies is a triannual peer-reviewed academic journal covering the analysis of political ideologies.[1] It was established by Michael Freeden and first published in 1996.[1]
The journal's host is the Centre for Research into Ideas and the Study of Political Ideologies (CRISPI) at the University of Nottingham. The journal publishes research on the theoretical and conceptual aspects of political ideology, and on the nature and roles of particular ideological practices.[2]
Based on 2020, Scimago Journal Rank is 0.748.[3] Its 5 year impact factor in 2022 is 1.8.[4]
Editorial team
Since January 2021, it has been edited by Mathew Humphrey, Professor of Political Theory with centre co-director Dr Hugo Drochon and centre member Professor Maiken Umbach on the board as Associate Editors at the University of Nottingham.[5]
