John R. Illg Jr. is a politician who is a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives from the 78th district. He assumed office on January 13, 2020.[1] He won re-election in 2023 after running unopposed.[2] He is often referred to as "Big John" in reference to his weight of 470 lbs.[3]
