Jakubovany (Distric Sabinov)

Location of Sabinov District in the Prešov Region.

Uherské Jakubovany is a village and municipality in Sabinov District in the Prešov Region of north-eastern Slovakia.

History

The village was first mentioned in 1314, when Charles I of Hungary gave it to the Thököly family.

Geography

The municipality lies at an altitude of 422 metres and covers an area of 10.813 km². It has a population of about 930 people.
