Colours

May be it's better to be less colours than it is now to provide better understanding by other people? For example - recognized, unrecignized and unknown. Only three colours. It is hard to understand what's going on this map now for an ordinary person. --Dima1 (talk) 20:31, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fusion

Shouldn't this image be merged with Image:Kosovo recognition.png?

No, I don't think so. This image is much better than the one you've linked IMO. --Tocino 19:34, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Minor problem with map

The Indian Nicobar and Andaman Islands are colored as though they were part of Indonesia, not India. Tomertalk 22:37, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Puerto Rico and other US territories do not have international relations, it's only thru the USA. All of them shall be marked blue.

Other Minor problems

Comments:

  • Manitoulin Island is not shaded as part of Canada.
  • The Lakshadweep islands are not shaded as part of India.
  • The Western Aleutian Islands (Semisopochnoi and west) are not colored correctly as part of the US. They are colored as if they were part of Russia.
  • Ceuta and Melilla are not shaded as part of Spain.
  • Afghanistan's south border (with Pakistan) is messed up.

SpencerT♦C 22:53, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • The last point isn't really relevant. Take a look at the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina. --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 23:00, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've fixed all of that except Afghanistan and the Andaman&Nicobar (as those are now coloured the same again, anyway); I've also fixed Gibraltar and Akrotiti & Dhekelia. Anything else? —Nightstallion 23:03, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Nevermind the last point...it was an error with my moniter that I have since fixed. Oh yeah, just found some more:
  • The Riau Islands are not shaded as part of Indonesia.
  • Martha's Vineyard, right off of Massachusetts is not shaded as part of the US.
  • An incorrectly colored pixel near the mouth of the Churchill River in Newfoundland and Labrador. See this (go all the way to the right)

That's all I can find. Nice work. SpencerT♦C 00:33, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Puerto Rico is under US jurisdiction and it's not marked blue, it should be.

Why is the Falkland Islands marked along with Argentina and not with the UK? —Kurykh 00:37, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Corrected, except for the minor pixel off Newfoundland -- that's meant to be Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, isn't it? —Nightstallion 00:42, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You are correct. I can't tell (laptop has crappy color)... are the Andamans and Nicobars now gray? or tan? (should be tan). Also, I can't see what color the Dutch Antilles are. Are the ABC and Leeward Islands taking independent stances from that of the Netherlands? Tomertalk 03:16, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
They're tan, as both India and Indonesia are tan, currently, that's fine. You're correct with ABC and Leeward Islands, though. —Nightstallion 09:46, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The pixel to the east of Newfoundland and Labrador is not St. Pierre and Miquelon, which is southwest of Labrador. SpencerT♦C 22:20, 19 February 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.205.122.76 (talk) [reply]

Shouldn't New Zealand be tan? "We will neither recognise nor not recognise" sounds like a neutral position to me. — Rickyrab | Talk 00:03, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

They said they don't support the move and will not recognise but will not make any formal statement like some countries did like Russia who openly opposes. --Avala (talk) 21:48, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Crimea is part of Ukraine, not Russia.--The Devil's Advocate (talk) 22:28, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Poland out

I hope it doesn't take much time to do edits because it could be pretty tedious. ;-) Poland should become yellow now because the president who disagrees with the independence has delayed any decision. [1] --Lumidek (talk) 11:51, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Croatia neutral

Croatia has joined the same approach as the Czech Republic - won't hurry and will recognize after a majority of EU countries does so. So it should probably become neutral, too. --Lumidek (talk) 23:05, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Switerland

The government itself did not state to intend recognizing Kosovo yet. Only two committees gave the recommendation to do so, therefore it hasn't be stated yet. (See http://www.swissinfo.ch/eng/front/Swiss_one_step_closer_to_recognising_Kosovo.html?siteSect=105&sid=8772300&rss=true&ty=st) --Arsenio (talk) 12:22, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

CONFUSION

These COLORS make no sense, nor does the key. GREEN? RED? Whoever is updating this map I hope they are doing it based on official statements, which is hard to believe considering many countries shaded in colors here have said little to nothing. Kosova2008 (talk) 23:01, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

crimea

Someone please give Crimea to Ukraine. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.172.193.199 (talk) 15:52, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
