| Description |
Deutsch: Die Orgel der Malteserkirche im 1. Wiener Gemeindebezirk (Kärntnerstr. 37). Die Orgel ist um die Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts von dem Orgelbauer Gottfried Sonnholz (1695–1781) gebaut worden: [1]. 1949/50 wurde das Instrument vom Orgelbauer Johann Pirchner (Steinach in Tirol) umgebaut und erweitert (von I/P mit 8 Registern auf II/P mit 16 Registern). 2015 erhielt der Orgelbauer Wolfgang Karner den Auftrag diese Erweiterung rückzubauen und weitgehendst den ursprünglichen Zustand wieder herzustellen: [2]. Am 12. September 2017 fand dann die Weihe & Präsentation der rückgebauten Orgel statt: [3]. |
